Korban Pesach:
Becoming a People

Each year, Jews make feverish and intensive preparations for the Passover holiday with the Seder as its centerpiece. However, we are still missing the true centerpiece of the Passover table: namely the Paschal Offering, or Korban Pesach.

Korban Pesach is a Biblical commandment of the highest order, with the command repeated and amplified to us in three different places: Exodus 12, 3-12, Numbers 9, 1-13 and Deuteronomy 16.

Just as circumcision, the first commandment imposed on an individual Jew, our forefather Abraham brought us into the covenant as individuals, the commandment of Korban Pesach, the first commandment imposed on the Jewish People as a collective--obligating men, women and even children--brings us into the covenant as a People.

Ruling for Passover Sacrifice 5784 (2024)

Following the reading of Maran the Garach Kanievsky ztz”l, and the call of the great rabbis and tzaddikim, to prepare for the sacrifice of the Passover sacrifice, and to appoint a kosher and tested lamb, and following the recognition that our enemy claims to be fighting over the temple and sacrificial system, "from my enemies, be wise in your commandments".

And due to the troubles and the realization that we are just before the complete redemption and the revelation of Messiah, we are opening a free registration to reserve a place to be appointed for the Passover sacrifice.

Everyone who registers, reserves for himself and all his children and his wife a place in the group to be apportioned part of a lamb which is kosher and tested.

And if this year we will have the opportunity to sacrifice a Passover sacrifice with G-d’s help, then the registrants will be able to be part of the Passover group to buy lamb and pay for the sacrifice.

Hurry up to register, the number of sheep is limited.

The words of Rabbi Haim Volozin in the name of Rabbi HaGaon Eliyahu of Vilna are known that if we sacrifice one sacrifice, it is "after the fact" and redemption is already here.

The registration is also important for a person who is in the category of: "He wanted to do a mitzvah, and even if he is prevented and didn't do it, the scripture is written on him as if he did it ."

Additions (7th of Nisan, 5782 (2022):

  • According to the mishna, "We sacrifice even though there is no temple". Although the temple has not yet been built, it is permissible and obligatory to offer the Passover sacrifice at its time.
  • Anyone who can offer a Passover sacrifice and does not offer it, is punishable with Karet according to the Torah (see Tractate Keritot).
  • Eating an Afikoman olive on Seder night is only a memory of eating an olive from the Passover meat. Today we have the possibility to observe the mitzvah of eating Passover itself, and not just a memory of the mitzvah.
  • All the rabbis, including the rabbis who oppose going up to the Temple Mount, admit that going up to the Temple Mount is permitted for the purpose of offering the Passover Sacrifice, even in impurity. This is because impurity was allowed in public (Tractate Pesachim).
  • If God does not allow us to offer a Passover sacrifice at its time on the 4th of Nisan, we will offer the Passover on the 4th of Iyer, according to the "second Passover" law.
  • We appeal to all the Gentiles to help and strengthen the Jews in their lands to immigrate to the Land of Israel, offer the Passover sacrifice, and build the Temple, in order to gain God's blessing in their land, as the prophet Isaiah said, "And they shall bring all your brethren from all the nations as a tribute to the Lord, with horses and with chariots, and with covered wagons and with mules and with joyous songs upon My holy mount, Jerusalem," says the Lord, "as the children of Israel bring the offering in a pure vessel to the house of the Lord.” (Isaiah 66:20).
  • In particular, we call on the Iranian authorities to follow in the footsteps of King Cyrus of Persia, who encouraged the construction of the Temple, and participate and assist as much as they can in the construction of the Third Temple.
